From the best place to grab a bite to eat, Nottingham’s coolest bars, to how you can get the best out of your time at Confetti, we’ve got the inside scoop from our student ambassador Rowena below…
My ‘go-to’ person at Confetti
Tough question as they’re all great! But it would have to be Sam Wheatley – we are both geeks when it comes to anything camera and tech related. All of the tutors are extremely easy to approach and will go out of their way to help you.
Das Kino or Turtle Bay. Das Kino is such a relaxed environment with ping-pong tables (and amazing mac ’n’ cheese). Turtle Bay has great drinks and a happy hour so it’s perfect for us students.
I don’t drink coffee, but if you appreciate a hot chocolate, the Malt Cross does the most incredible one. They put whipped cream, marshmallows and crushed Maltesers on top – it’s so good!
I love a good pizza and Suede is my ‘go-to’ pizza place – it’s also really close to Confetti!
Getting the most from Confetti
You have to book out as much equipment as you can because when you’re in the big wide world, cameras and microphones don’t come cheap! Say ‘yes’ to as many opportunities as you can, meet as many people as you can and just enjoy it. The year’s will fly by.
Final top tip
I wish someone would’ve told me I’d become a pack mule with all the heavy equipment that I carry. Who needs a gym membership when you have cameras and tripods!
