What courses do you have space on through Clearing?

We have places available on all of our music, media and games foundation and bachelor’s degrees. View them here.

I love photography, what is the best course for me?

You can progress your photography skills on our film or TV production degree courses if you’d like to move into moving image. Nottingham Trent University also offers a Photography degree.

I’m a BTEC student, do I need to collect my results?

Each BTEC course is different. Some students will have already received their results and some will have by email or phone yesterday if they had exams. If you were granted an extension on your deadlines you will not have received your results yet. If you have any questions or want to know when you should expect your results we recommend contacting your tutor.

I think I’ve failed so I want to start university in 2020 – does Confetti have anything to aid illustration?

Call our Clearing team on 0115 848 6000 before deciding whether to stop applying for 2019 – there might be a place available for you. If you’re looking for a course which incorporates illustration, check out our games art degree where you’ll learn how to create the visual elements of an interactive computer game, crafting assets like 2D graphics, 3D characters and environment models, surface textures and user interface components.

Do I need to be an artist to do games production as the modules seem quite ‘arty’?

No not at all. Games production is more about the technical elements (game ideas, production of assets, creation of playable games and more). You’ll be able to collaborate with student on the games art course which is a more ‘arty’ subject.

When do we get our timetables if we are joining Confetti for the first year?

If you’ve been offered a place a link to your first week should be on a letter or email sent to you. Your first term will be confirmed before or during your welcome week.

When does Clearing finish?

The final deadline for 2019 entry applications is Friday 20 September 2019. We might not have places left so we recommend applying before.

What’s the difference between a foundation and three year degree?

A foundation degree is two years and gives you the option to start your career early, or top up on to the final year of the bachelor’s degree.

We will be adding to this blog as we receive more questions throughout the day so keep refreshing your tab. Ask your questions here.
