That’s a wrap on Industry Week 2025

Confetti FE students brought the year to a close in spectacular style yesterday, as they showcased all their hard work to parents, family and friends. Over 100 people attended the ‘Celebrate’ event, coming to have a look around, talk to students about their work and see first-hand, work across gaming, TV & Film and Music. Phil Myers, Head of Further Education for Confetti, said: “We had such fantastic feedback. Next week FE students will celebrate their successes in a demonstration of their work. Between 3-7pm at Confetti on Convent Street in Nottingham, we will show off the brightest and best creative talent that Nottingham has to offer. With everything from music courses to gaming and visual effects on show, the event is not to be missed. The student café will host performance sets whilst others rooms around Confetti will be open to live film screenings, interactive game demonstrations and more. The Young Creative Awards is now open for all aged 13 to 24 and Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies is proud to be a sponsor of the event.   October’s GameCity festival saw professionals and fans of gaming jet in from around the world to enjoy talks, workshops and to take part in the latest innovations in gaming technology. The GameCity event is held annually here in Nottingham and, as ever, Confetti students were on hand to assist with the events. Student ambassadors worked with school children to help inspire them and consider a future in gaming by assisting in a series of Minecraft EDU workshops which saw children build their own version of Nottingham. Confetti Degree Showcase 2013 finished on a high yesterday as winners of multiple awards were announced at the Showcase Awards Ceremony in the Antenna Bar and Restaurant. The Showcase event started at 3pm at Confetti ICT, where Higher Education students had the chance to showcase their talent and their projects produced throughout the year.
