Degree Showcase 2024 Highlights

Each year, we invite Confetti degree students, along with their friends and families, to our annual showcase to present their work and celebrate their achievments. This year has seen some outstanding projects, and we are excited to share the highlights, including the 2024 Degree Showcase Award winners!

The Showcase

The Confetti Degree Showcase highlighted the work of the next generation of creative talent. It featured an impressive array of work from all our courses, allowing guests to explore in both Metronome and Confetti X. Live performances from our Music Performance students filled the venue, while our Event Production students were busy running the show. The Metronome atrium displayed digital projects from VFX and Content Creation students along with prints and physical portfolios from Graphics and Digital Design students.

The bar was transformed into a viewing space for work from Film, Event Production and Music Business. Visitors could also check out the studios to listen to projects by Music Production and Sound Engineering and Audio Production students, which sounded amazing! Confetti X also showcased artwork and games from our Games Art and Games Technology students, inviting everyone to try out some of the games they’d created.  It was a great way to celebrate the hard work of everyone in the past year. The following evening, we hosted an awards ceremony celebrating those who have performed exceptionally throughout the year.

The Awards

Student of the Year – This award recognises students who have gone above and beyond in their respective courses with a special recognition given to one outstanding student as the ‘Overall Student of the Year’.

Do It For Real (our Confetti motto) – This award acknowledges students heavily involved in extra-curricular and industry-led projects, including ‘Overall Do It For Real’ awards for those who particularly shined.

Rising Star – This award celebrates the most promising up and coming talent.

Milo Kelly  – For the past few years, we’ve handed out a special award in honour of one of our former students, Milo Kelly, who tragically passed away in 2016. In Milo’s memory, The ‘Milo Kelly’ award is given to a student who shows exceptional promise.
