Our Celebrate 2018 Review

Celebrate 2018

On Wednesday 11 July, we held an extremely successful and exciting student showcase; we welcomed friends and family to come and view the amazing work created by this years college-level creatives. The day was filled with a variety of different things to do and experience, and our students were really able to show off all their amazing hard work from this year.

Friends, family and the general public were able to see a variety of projects. From short films created by our Film & TV and Visual Effects & Animation students, to interactive video games and virtual reality demos from our Games Technology students and creative artwork from our Games Art students at the National Videogame Arcade.

Rough Trade also hosting a number of amazing live performances from this year’s Music Performance and Songwriting students. A DJ set (which was streamed live on our Facebook page) was located at the MIMM clothing store which allowed guests to enjoy a variety of styles of music from a number of our talented Music Technology students.

At Broadway Cinema, we saw our students’ film, TV and screen acting work where they hosted a short film festival with exclusive screenings running throughout the day. On our Creative Quarter Campus in Antenna, there was a private viewing to showcase our Graphic & Digital Design students’ work for everyone to enjoy.

The day was tied together with an awards ceremony to recognise this years’ outstanding students. Subject areas were able to reward their best creatives with a certificate to congratulate them on their hard work throughout the year.

The showcase was not only an opportunity for our students to present their amazing work to family and friends, but it was also a chance to show the public what incredible opportunities are on offer when you study with us at Confetti. The day ran without a hitch and was a great way of giving our students the recognition they deserve.
