Andrew Scheps 2020

Confetti’s degree-level music students are invited to an exciting session with Andrew Scheps this December.

As part of the last week of term for our degree-level music students, we have a treat in store.

On Wednesday 9 December from 2 – 5 pm, Grammy Award-winning producer and mix engineer Andrew Scheps wants mixes from music degree students to critique live!

Andrew will spend three hours listening to selected student mixes and walking through suggestions on the processes you might go through to improve them, drawing on his extensive experience with such artists as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele, Black Sabbath and Iggy Pop.

Along the way, Andrew will give some tips on improving mixes using the tools to hand, and explaining why you might not need anything more than a laptop and a cheap pair of headphones to mix to a world-beating standard.

If any students want to submit a mix to be considered, please email a link to a downloadable, full quality, unmastered WAV to john.meredith@confetti.ac.uk. Make sure you label the file with your name.

Deadline to submit is Wednesday 2 December – make sure you don’t miss out!
