The results are in and according to a brand new survey by QDP, an overwhelming 96% of college-level students currently studying at Confetti rate us positively as a place to study. The independent survey is formed of several questions that collect data on our students overall experience studying at Confetti, including the quality of teaching, access to support, and inclusivity.
Confetti took part in the nationally recognised QDP student survey as part of our partnership with Access Creative College. Our institution has a long history with this survey and in recent years, has achieved some excellent results.
QDP are specialists at running successful survey projects across the UK, specifically in the education sector. The organisation work with hundreds of further education providers, MATs, and schools, and hold the largest set of independent benchmarking data in the sector. Their surveys are designed to assist organisations in fostering a culture of continual improvement and have a proven track record of making survey projects a success.
We’re pleased to share that Confetti achieved its best ever results, with the overall positive student feedback increasing from 92% to 96% . The full set of results includes a broad range of data, including ratings, quartiles, averages and external benchmarks. Areas that scored particularly excellent results include feedback relating to timetables, attendance, punctuality, students feeling safe, support, the importance of maths and English, health & safety and the standard of teaching .
You can see a handful of the data from the survey in the slides below.
We’re still rated Ofsted ‘Good’!
Following our most recent inspection, we are delighted to share that we’re still rated Ofsted ‘Good’!
At Confetti, our further education courses are delivered in collaboration with Access Creative College – a national training provider which offers creative courses in seven cities across the country.
Without Access, we would not be able to offer amazing college courses in Digital Media, Esports Production, Film & TV, Games, Live Events Production, Music Performance, Music Technology and Visual Effects and Animation.
That’s why it’s fantastic news that Access has yet again been awarded Ofsted’s ‘Good’ rating, grade 2 on their four-point scale.
Confetti had a big role to play in achieving this rating, as our courses make up over 25% of Access’ total provision. The result shows that our tutors and course leaders maintain the highest possible standards across quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Let’s find out what Ofsted Inspectors had to say about our fantastic Confetti team members:
“They [Confetti] recruit many learners from socially disadvantaged backgrounds [and] work tirelessly to ensure that all learners, irrespective of background, develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to thrive in the creative sectors. In so doing, they provide exciting opportunities for learners.”
“Teachers use their extensive skills and experience from industry to inform their teaching. They teach learners practical skills to high standards through clear explanation, demonstration, and repetition, so that the skills become automatic.”
“Learners benefit from the strong culture of mutual respect and understanding that leaders and managers have created. Learners have a deep understanding of equality and diversity, and many demonstrate this within their work. Learners feel safe at college and in the working environment.”
A massive thank you goes out to our Confetti tutors and course leaders for their dedication. To read the report, please visit the Ofsted website.
