This Esports UAL college course will give you all the key knowledge you need to start your career in the Esports industry.
Using our specialist facilities, you’ll learn about live streaming, using the same industry standard broadcast technologies used for esports tournaments worldwide.
The course is split into three pillars where you’ll learn:
- Business: entrepreneurship, marketing basics, product design and development, creating your own esports business idea and plan
- Coaching and Sports Science: coaching fundamentals, psychology, health & wellbeing, nutrition
- Production and Events: streaming and shoutcasting basics, event management, tournament administration, running your own event
This course is for you if:
- you enjoy competitive gaming
- you have a passion for esports
- you are good at strategising and analysing
The Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma is a full time two-year course of study which will develop specialist knowledge, practical skills and understanding within a vocational area and will give you a qualification that is the equivalent to three A Levels. In most subjects, students will be awarded the UAL Extended Diploma at the end of their two years of study. The Extended Diploma is fully recognised by universities and carries UCAS points, enabling you to progress to university or directly into employment. If you want to commit to vocational study in a particular area, then this could be the route for you.
- 5 GCSEs grade 9-5 (A*-C)* including English and maths
- A basic understanding of and passion for the esports industry
Depending on your prior English and Maths attainment, you may need to improve your grade as part of your course.

Whether it’s supporting or even competing in esports tournaments, our L3 Esports students access our esports and emerging technologies complex – Confetti X.
It’s jam-packed full of the best esports kit, with a 10m x 4m 4K LED video wall and high spec broadcast gallery. It’s played host to Commonwealth Games (Esports), British Esports Student Champs, and many more. If you join our esports team, the Confetti Arrows, you’ll play matches in the scrim rooms every week.
