In recommending the new BTEC extended diploma, he described it as “a fantastic launch pad for a technical career in events production.” Confetti is a custom-designed facility which specialises in courses in Music Technology, TV & Film production and Games Technology. Influential rapper Big Daddy Kane spent an afternoon with Urban Electronic Pathway students while he was in town for a performance at Nottingham’s The Lace House. The GRAMMY award winning star spoke to the Level 3 students about his career in the music industry then watched the students perform their own material. My last session on Day 3 of Industry Week was delivered by XL Records’ very own Nick Halkes. Nick initially knew he wanted to be an entertainer, putting on ‘mobile discos” from the age of 12, using generic equipment to entertain his friends.
