  On 9th July, our FE students will celebrate their successes in a demonstration of their work. Between 3-7pm at Confetti on Convent Street in Nottingham, we’ll show off the brightest and best creative talent that Nottingham has to offer. With everything from music to gaming and visual effects on show, the event is not to be missed. The student café will host performance sets whilst other rooms around Confetti will be open to live film screenings, interactive game demonstrations and more. A showcase event for Nottingham’s Young Creative Awards 2015 is to be staged in the newly revamped Trinity Square on Friday 24th October. And our BTEC Level 3 Technical Events students couldn’t be more involved, providing all the tech and set up for the event. The awards, sponsored by Confetti Media Group, offer young people the opportunity to take part in a citywide creative competition, and win a mixture of cash and other prizes, such as mentoring opportunities and work experience which will enable them to further their creative industry careers. Victoria Van Garret studied Games Development at Confetti and is now working as a Development QA Game Tester. “My favourite part of my course was game theory and concept generation. I love coming up with ideas, researching the market and seeing how I can adapt that idea based around what’s popular within the target audience and the technologies available” said Victoria. Confetti FE students brought the year to a close in spectacular style yesterday, as they showcased all their hard work to parents, family and friends. Over 100 people attended the ‘Celebrate’ event, coming to have a look around, talk to students about their work and see first-hand, work across gaming, TV & Film and Music. Phil Myers, Head of Further Education for Confetti, said: “We had such fantastic feedback.
