Confetti students can get free tickets to see the Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Spring Finals on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 April 2023.
Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports is a collegiate esports partnership that exists across Europe, Latin America and North Africa. The UK and Ireland tournaments are organised and delivered by our friends at NUEL in partnership with global technology company, GGTech.
This Spring term, hundreds of university esports teams from around the UK and Ireland have taken part every week in online tournaments to showcase their skills and test themselves in an organised play environment. Finalists are set to compete for thousands of pounds in prize money. We are delighted to announce that the Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports UK and Ireland Spring Finals will be live and in-person, held at our esports complex, Confetti X.
Over the weekend of 22 and 23 April, the finals will feature top esports titles League of Legends and VALORANT. In addition, the grand finals of the competition’s Women & Non-Binary VALORANT tournament – the first of its kind in the UK – will also take place at the event.
There will also be European qualification on the line – with the finalists of the Open League of Legends and VALORANT tournaments competing for a chance to represent Great Britain in the Last Chance Qualifier of the prestigious Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Masters in May. Attendance is ticketed but free, and it would be a great opportunity for anybody looking to learn more about esports to come and experience an in-person event in our high-quality facilities.
In addition to providing students with a great experience of competitive play in a state-of-the-art venue, NUEL and GGTech will provide education and real-world experiences behind the scenes for students from multiple courses including BSc (Hons) Esports Production, BSc (Hons) Event Production, BA (Hons) Content Creation and more.

Saturday 22 April 16:30 – Women & Non-Binary VALORANT (Best-of-5)
Sunday 23 April 10:30 – Open VALORANT (Best-of-5)

- Watch the top university teams in the UK compete – With host, casters, and players all in the state-of-the-art Confetti X complex, the atmosphere promises to be exciting!
- Meet other grassroots esports enthusiasts. With players, NUEL and Confetti staff, casters and crew present, this is a great opportunity to meet others who are passionate about growing university esports.
- Find out what esports is all about – Ideal first time experience of an esports event if you’ve heard about it but never been to one yet!
- Audience activities – in addition to on-stage activities, we will be hosting a Amazon UNIVERSITY Tour event at the finals, with chances to play games for yourself and participate in esports-related giveaways.
