As a part of their studies at Confetti, our BSc (Hons) Film Production Technology students paid a visit to the UK’s leading water SFX studio, Tank Space. As the only studio in the UK with both rain and underwater sets, the studio combines a 10,000l dive tank with a huge 380sqft rain area. Unlike natural water locations, Tank Space affords the unique ability to entirely control lighting on set, resulting in breathtaking videos and photographs.

This opportunity was provided to third year students to give them the chance to work with experienced underwater performers and to allow them to develop distinctive stand out content for their showreels, readying them for the workplace upon graduation.

Armed with industry standard equipment, including Black Magic cameras and Sony lenses, students were well equipped to capture incredible content and develop specialist skills that will set them apart from the crowd when the time comes to begin their careers in the industry.
