Five Confetti postgraduate students secure £500 Santander grant

masters students grant

In August five Confetti postgraduate students each secured a £500 Santander grant from The Hive – Nottingham Trent University’s consultancy service which offers enterprise and entrepreneurship support to anyone with a viable business idea.

The funding is to support the development of their Master’s project ideas and is available for all degree students if you have an idea you want to pursue. Students receiving the grant will also be invited to various University events which may include guests from the business community and friends of the University to network with.

Confetti Postgraduate and Research Manager Dr Lindsay Davies has witnessed their hard work first-hand:

“Our Spark grant holders have worked hard all year, from designing their proposal in Term 1 and developing it as a project in Term 2, through to finally pulling it all together with some amazing outcomes in Term 3. At the same time, they’ve collaborated with staff at The Hive to create those projects’ business ideas that have now secured funding.”

Master’s student Jake Eden was one of the students who’s idea is being supported:

“I was one of the lucky few to receive a business grant from The Hive which is helping me with access to faster rendering for my freelance visual effects work.”
