YouTube megastars, Olympic athletes and famous household names – just some of the celebrities descending on Nottingham this Friday as Confetti X hosts Game On! for BBC Children in Need.
Featuring content legends like Young Filly and Harry Pinero, as well as F1 driver Lando Norris’ Quadrant team, paralympic swimming champion Ellie Simmonds and many more – the celebs will go head-to-head in EA SPORTS™’‘ F1® 23, Just Dance Now, HADO and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Alongside the show, BBC Children in Need will also be running The Pudsey Games in partnership with Connect Management, in a 5-hour TikTok livestream giving you a sneak peek at all the backstage action.
The show is going to be hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Vick Hope and BBC gaming expert Steffan Powell, and our students are front and centre!
With over 50 of our budding professionals from across BA (Hons) Content Creation, FdSc Film Production, FdSc TV Production, BSc (Hons) Event Production and BSc (Hons) Esports Production right in the thick of the action – students will be working as vision mixers, camera ops, autocue operators and lighting operators, as well as running the production for both HADO and F1 – the perfect example of Confetti’s ‘Do it for Real’ mantra.
Almost 200 of our students have also been given the opportunity to be a part of the live studio audience, getting front row seats to all the action and the chance to observe a live professional broadcast first hand!
The epic two-hour live show will air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer at 7pm on Friday 10 November, one week ahead of the annual Children in Need telethon (Friday 17 November). Make sure you tune in!
