Former Confetti student Josh Wheatley has been signed to prestigious record label Saulty Songs.
Earlier this month, we spotted that former Confetti student Josh Wheatley had been signed to prestigious record label Saulty Songs.
Josh, who studied Level 3 Performance and Songwriting here at Confetti, showed promise from an early stage during his studies. Shortly after graduating, he released his debut single – Best of Me – under Denizen Recordings. Spencer Wells of Denizen was influential in guiding Josh through his first steps into the industry, and is pleased to hear of his latest success.
We caught up with Josh, who spoke highly of his time at Confetti and working with Denizen:
“Studying at Confetti – and working with Spencer – was thoroughly enjoyable, and it allowed me to learn the fundamentals of audio production. It also taught me to collaborate with friends and peers on projects. Find people around you who are also hungry to create and just make something
Both of these things in parallel with what I was taught about the music industry is something I take into every session I do when I write and produce for an artist.”
