MPG and Confetti collaboration

Students on our Games Art courses got to ‘Do It For Real’ while working on module set by developers Multiplayer Guys.

At Confetti, our students have many opportunities to ‘Do It For Real’, meaning they can learn from experts in the creative industries and get lots of hands-on experience, accessing industry-standard tech in our amazing facilities.

Recently, our Games Art students worked on an eight-week module set by developers Multiplayer Guys, who work on software engineering, games art, design and QA for a number of AAA multiplayer brands.

Students were grouped and set the task of working on a live game as part of an internal games art brief for the developers. The teams came up with some phenomenal work which can be viewed here.

Tutor Adam was impressed with the students’ work:

“I’m really pleased with my students and the combined efforts of their teams for this project. This was a really daunting brief for them as it had so much more games design detail than they are used to. Many of the students have gone above and beyond the taught lectures to produce work out of their comfort zone and all of them have learnt new ways of working for a professional industry client.”

Harvey, from Multiplayer Guys, also spoke highly of the work produced for the project:

“The volume and diversity of work the students produced was a delight to see. It was a great idea to work in teams as this gave me a good sense of how the individuals collaborated as part of a creative collective.”
