Confetti prepares for a 2019 to remember!

Splendour Festival Nottingham 2015

We hope you have a great Christmas break and come back ready for 2019 at Confetti. Confetti’s 25th anniversary will be the institution’s largest celebration yet and we have many exciting events planned.

Firstly, the biggest event in Confetti’s 2019 calendar? Industry Week!

For Confetti’s 25th year, Industry Week is set to be bigger and better than ever before. Expect to brush shoulders with guests like music producer Tim Exile, and Grand Theft Auto creators – Rockstar Games.

Following IW19 we’ll have our student showcases – ‘Celebrate’ for college level and ‘Degree Showcase’ for degree level. These are great opportunities to display your talent, creativity and hard work to friends, family and the public.

And that’s just on campus! There’s plenty more going on around Nottingham!

Looking for a good night? Be sure to check out what’s going on at Metronome! There’s lots coming up for 2019 from Björk hang player Manu Delago showing a screening of ‘Parasol Peak’ and performing live, to the Dodge Brothers – a skiffle-and-blues band performing vibrant new songs.

In early February the UK Young Artists Takeover comes to Nottingham hosting 250 artists from 25 countries; presenting 100 exhibitions, performances, workshops and events.

We’re excited to be part of this, as artists Red Pig Flower, M-Flute and Simone Sims Longo will be joining us at Metronome on 12 February.

In June Splendour Festival will celebrate their 11th anniversary. Beyond the stages, Splendour will fill its site with activities like comedy in the courtyard and Gem 106’s Weekend Anthems Silent Disco. Our talented students will work the Confetti stage, showcasing their technical creativity. The line-up and date will be confirmed in the New Year so keep an eye out.

1 June brings Nottingham’s first ever ‘fake festival’ – a day of live music with six pro-level ‘fake’ bands; so good, they’re almost the real deal. Party to some absolute anthems with friends ‘til late inside the famous giant marquee. Earlybird prices – £5 off a single and £15 off a group ticket if you buy before 1 May 2019.
