Former Confetti student Will Hollis lands a job at Notts TV

Notts TV are excited to welcome former Confetti student Will Hollis to the team. Having studied on the L3 Film and Television course here, producing a number of successful productions including a short film, documentary and music video, Will spent time working on the video packages for Notts TV’s Noise Floor show during his studies.

Will joins Notts TV as a full-time video journalist, filming and editing news, sport and entertainment stories for the channel. Within the role, he will also be involved in the production of the daily live Ey Up Notts show, working both as camera operator and as floor manager on the show.

Will wrote “When I first started studying at college I had no idea where I was going with it. I just knew I loved watching Ross Kemp Extreme World and old Vietnam war films. It was Chris Hallam, my BTEC tutor at Confetti, who pushed me toward journalism. That’s the thing about tutors at Confetti; they say it how it is and inspire you to be your best.

“I fit in really well at Notts TV. The team is doing great things, and every day is a new opportunity and lesson to learn.”

Chris Breese, Channel Manager at Notts TV, speaks highly of Will’s ‘professionalism in front of and behind the camera’, noting his abilities not only as a skilled video journalist, but as a real ‘people person’.

We wish Will the best of luck in his new role and look forward to seeing what’s to come for him during his time at the channel!
