As well as Splendour and this year’s Fresh welcome events, Confetti BTEC Level 3 Technical Events students have been providing all the technical set-up and provision for this week’s Young Creative Awards Showcase Event.
Taking place at Trinity Square on 24th October, students will be running all the technical aspects of the event and showcasing the real skills Confetti students have. The experience of working on real events in invaluable for our students with opportunities throughout the year to work on some of the biggest events in the county.
The Young Creative Awards, sponsored by Confetti Media Group, will showcase the county’s best creative talent. If you’re between the ages of 13 and 24, you’re eligible to enter the 2015 awards and all information and online entry can be found on the Young Creative Awards website. The theme for the 2015 awards is ‘Made in Nottingham’ with winners gaining vital support and mentoring from existing creative businesses within the city to enable them to get a foot on the career ladder- there’s also a cash prize!
The showcase event this week is an opportunity for young people in the city to come along and see some of last year’s entries to the competition, ask questions of the organisers and listen to some of the music performed at the awards ceremony.
