Covid-compliant training for our media degree students

Coronavirus basic awareness on production training

Film and TV degree courses at Confetti are being adapted to teach students about the importance of Covid-19 safety measures on set.

At Confetti we are offering our TV and Film Production degree students basic coronavirus awareness training. This training was devised from official guidance compiled by industry with focus on film and high-end TV and is funded by ScreenSkills, BFI and National Lottery.

This training is for all our BSc and FdSc Film Production students across all three years, and will be part of these existing modules:

Year 1 – Film Project Management

Year 2 – Industry Practice

Year 3 – Digital Film Production

Sam Wheatley (HE TV and Film Course Leader) noted how important teaching this area to current media students is –

“Confetti is all about Doing it for Real and how to work on set is a big part of that.  Keeping productions and sets Covid-safe are a new massive part of the film production industry.”

The certificate lasts for just six months due to the ever-changing nature of Covid-19, so new, refreshed training will be undertaken wherever and whenever relevant.

We hope our students are able to get a good understanding of how to safely produce film and TV during the current pandemic.
