Our third year BSc Esports Production students will attend a series of workshops and lectures delivered by the industry-leading Ross Video in collaboration with our Esports Production team.
They’ll take their knowledge to the next level in these workshops as part of their timetabled sessions throughout semester one, and will receive industry feedback on their broadcast productions and events.
The sessions will cover how to use specialist equipment for vision mixing, replays and engineering, alongside developing their broadcast gallery etiquette. Students will also get advice on how to land their dream job.
Bryan Davies, Solutions Architect at Ross Video, will be delivering the sessions. He’s worked for most major broadcasters in the UK as a Vision Mixer and Replay Operator, and is now responsible for the design and implementation of the Ross Video broadcast technologies – including those in our very own Confetti X.
If you’ve been in Confetti X, you’ll be familiar with Ross Video’s incredible broadcast workflow fitout seen in dozens of top end production facilities around the world. Read more about Ross Video’s work in Confetti X.
On this partnership, Bryan said:
“I’m excited about contributing to the development of the next generation of broadcast professionals, shaping them into highly capable and ready-to-go industry personnel.”
Our Curriculum and Business Development Manager for Esports, Gin Rai added:
“Each of the Ross Video specialists we have had visit and train our teams have provided an exceptional learning experience. Both me and Bryan saw this as a unique opportunity to elevate our university offering whilst growing a group of young professionals, product specialists and brand ambassadors for both NTU and Ross Video. Watch this space, we’re just getting started!”
