If you’ve applied to Confetti and received an offer, this page contains all the important information you need for enrolment.

If you are looking to start with us in September 2025, enrolment will take place from Wednesday 20 August until Friday 29 August 2025, between 9am-4pm. You will receive an invitation with a specific date and time for your enrolment.

Your enrolment will take place at Confetti Digital Media Hub Reception (6-10 Convent Street, NG1 3LL).  You can expect to be with us for around one hour, although it may take longer during busy periods or if additional checks are needed.

Enrolment Checklist

Please bring the following documents with you:

  • Proof of ID (passport, driving license, birth certificate, or Home Office letter)
  • National Insurance number
  • A record of all your existing qualifications (certificates or printed results)
  • Unique learner number (ULN)

Important: We cannot complete your enrolment without proof of ID and qualifications.

If you are aged 19 or over on 31 August 2025 and do not have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), you will be invited to enrol on Wednesday 20 August. You’ll need to speak to Student Services to arrange payment of your course fees on or before the day of your enrolment date. Please note:

  • There are no student loans or fee remittance options available on our courses.
  • If you have any questions about fees or payments, contact Student Services on 0115 952 2075 or email studentservices@confetti.ac.uk.

If you don’t meet your offer conditions

If you are unable to fulfil the requirements of your offer (for example, if you don’t achieve your predicted grades or can’t provide proof of your qualifications), please contact us. We may still be able to offer you a place on an alternative course.

You will be guided through each step of enrolment with Confetti staff and student ambassadors on hand to help. Your enrolment session will take up to an hour.

Please note that we do not have parking facilities. We recommend using public transport where possible. Further details to travelling to Confetti.

  1. Sign in at Confetti Digital Media Hub main reception desk
  2. Complete an enrolment form and provide proof of ID (there will be staff available to help with this process)
  3. Provide proof of qualifications and enrol onto your course
  4. Maths and English enrolment (some students will need to study Maths and/or English)
  5. If you are aged 19+ and do not have an EHCP, you will need to speak to Student Services to arrange payment of your course fees as discussed upon application
  6. Students who aren’t paying fees may be eligible to apply for bursaries whilst at Confetti. Please chat to our Student Services Team to check eligibility and request an application
  7. Collect your Confetti student card

What makes me a fee payer?

You will be classified as a fee payer if:

  • You are 19 or older on 31 August 2025 and do not have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP)

How much are the course fees?

Course fees are reviewed and subject to change each academic year. For 2025/26, course fees are confirmed at £1,250 per year. Fees are payable at enrolment for each academic year. This fee applies to all courses at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.

How do I pay my fees?

Fees are split into two payments.

  • First instalment: £625 – payable on your enrolment date. Please note, you will not be able to enrol without making this payment.
  • Second instalment: £625 – due six weeks from your first date of attendance

Are there any fee remissions, grants or bursaries?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any bursaries or grants for private fee-paying students. We also do not offer fee remissions based on benefit entitlement, and we do not accept the Advanced Learner Loan.

What bursaries are available?

Bursary applications are available for students 16-18 years old and for those who hold of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Applications are assessed in the order they are received. During busy periods (especially at the start of the academic year), please allow up to four weeks for processing.

Will I be reimbursed for travel and/or meal costs incurred during the assessment period?

Students are responsible for covering their own travel and meal costs while their application is being assessed. We are unable to refund or backdate any expenses incurred during this period.

How can I apply for a bursary?

Please email bursary.applications@confetti.ac.uk to request an application form. Bursary applications will be available in Summer 2025. Please note, you must be fully enrolled before submitting your application.

Incomplete forms and missing evidence will delay your application. Please ensure all sections are completed in full.

Am I eligible?

  • You must be fully enrolled at Confetti
  • You must have a household income below our award threshold (net income including benefits, employment and pension)
  • You must live 1.7 miles or more from Confetti

What you are awarded (e.g. support for travel, meals, vulnerable students allowance) will depend on your individual eligibility.

How will I be notified of the outcome?

You will be contacted via your Confetti email address with the outcome of your bursary application. This email will detail what have you been awarded, how to claim it and when payments will be made. You should receive this notification within four weeks of submitting your application. Parents and carers will also be notified.

How many hours a week is the course?

Up to 21 hours.

Is the course classed as full-time?

Yes, for funding purposes the course is full-time.

When do I receive my timetable?

Induction timetables will be emailed immediately after students enrol, between 20-29 August 2025. Full timetables will be emailed on Thursday 4 September 2025.

When does term start?

Term starts week commencing Monday 8 September 2025.

What happens if I can’t make the enrolment slot I was offered ?

Do I have to do Maths and English if I am a fee payer?

It is not mandatory for fee payers to study Maths and English.

I haven’t got what was needed for my offer, what can I do?

Contact us at hello@confetti.ac.uk to discuss, or come to your enrolment slot and we will be happy to provide you with information, advice and guidance.

I’m on holiday for my enrolment slot, what will happen?

Please email DIS@confetti.ac.uk with the subject line ‘Change Enrolment Date’.

I haven’t got proof of my GCSEs yet

You will need proof of your grades in order for us to enrol you. Please contact us if there is a delay in you obtaining these.

What forms of ID do I need?

Please provide any of these documents for ID – passport, driving license, National ID Card, Unique Learner Number (ULN) on exam results.

How/when do I apply for a bursary?

You can apply for a bursary as soon as you are enrolled. Staff will be available at enrolment sessions to advise you.

Can I have support during enrolment?

Staff are available to support you during your enrolment. If you have a specific need or an access need please contact us so we can ensure that you are fully supported at hello@confetti.ac.uk.

Can my parents come to help?

If you feel that you need your parents/an adult with you at enrolment, they are welcome to attend.

How long will it take?

Expect to be at your session for up to an hour.

Is there any parking?

Unfortunately, we do not have parking facilities. We recommend that you use public transport – we are in the city centre and there are lots of options available. Find out more about travelling to Confetti.

What do I do if I can’t find any of my certificates?

Contact your previous school/college and request a copy of your certificate/statement of results. Email DIS@confetti.ac.uk if there is any delay in obtaining these.

Can I be in a group with my friend?

Groups are allocated based on academic ability, age and support needs. If you feel you need to change group/course, please speak with your Course Leader.

Can I switch courses?

Your course offer is based on your application and interview. If you want to change your course you should speak to a member of staff at the enrolment event.

Before enrolment, can I have proof that I will be studying?

Once you have completed enrolment, you will be sent an email confirming your course, level, start and end dates, and your enrolment status.

Will I have to do English and Maths GCSE if I have passed Functional Skills L2?

If you are 18 or under and have passed Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and/or English, you will not be required to study these subjects further. However, if you have both Functional Skills Level 2 and a GCSE Grade 3 in Maths and/or English, you will be required to retake the relevant GCSE in that subject.

If I don’t get the grades for the course I have been offered, am I guaranteed a place on another course?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a place on an alternative course, as all course allocations are based on previous qualifications and availability. However, we will do our best to support you in finding a suitable alternative where possible.

Can I have an Advanced Learner Loan to pay for my fees?

Unfortunately, our courses are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans. Please email studentservices@confetti.ac.uk to discuss your payments.
