Beat the Streets 2025: Confetti students support local fundraising festival

Mark your calendars as the annual Beat the Streets festival returns to Hockley on Sunday 26 January with Confetti students working both on stage and behind the scenes.

Not only does this event allow you to explore the fantastic artists and venues Nottingham has to offer, it also raises important funds for Framework. The local homelessness charity is expecting the festival to help them surpass the £500,000 milestone this year.

Confetti students will play a pivotal role in the festival, working as part of DHP’s artist liaison team. They’ll ensure all the performers are stage-ready and supported throughout the day.

You can also catch Confetti students and alumni in a number of solo acts and bands over the day including Airport Dad, Evil Scarecrow, Swallowtail, Highspeed Peach and Jude Kirk.

Framework Chief Executive Andrew Redfern commented on the urgent need for this fundraiser:

“The homelessness crisis is worsening, and the number of people sleeping rough in Nottingham and elsewhere continues to rise. So the importance of funds raised at Beat the Streets to maintain our work with rough sleepers becomes ever greater.”

He also praised the festival’s ongoing success:

“Once again, we say our sincere thanks for the generous participation of a host of talented performers, and the ever-enthusiastic support of everyone at DHP, to make the festival happen. I have no doubt that the public will respond in large numbers to make 26 January 2025 another hugely enjoyable and memorable occasion.”
