Our partners at Tileyard have announced plans for their 2021 songwriting camp. Located at the picturesque Waterton Park Hotel, Yorkshire, the camp will run for five days between 16-21 August concluding with an exclusive wrap party and is eligible for Help Musicians funding.
Songwriting camps are the number one place to learn about the craft of songwriting from a commercial viewpoint and is now one of the main ways the songs you hear, play and love are written. Plus, you will be able to enjoy the idyllic setting of Waterton Park with its rolling parkland and own lake, along with a glass of wine or two after a creative day’s work.
During the camp songwriters are divided into groups with pro-producers, including Ed Heaton (Feelgood Music), Andrew Potterton (Universal, BMG, BBC), John Beck (Tasmin Archer, Corrine Bailey Rae) and James Wilkie (INDEX Festival, Sonic Artist). Groups will then work by responding to live commercial briefs across music, TV, film or advertising, with the final versions pitched to labels post camp. All participants will retain full ownership of their copyrights and masters allowing you to generate future revenue for successful tracks.
This practical retreat is for aspiring and established songwriters, artists and producers seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to network. Tileyard Education is available for advice on applications as all attendees must have songwriting experience, but don’t forget even bedroom songwriting is experience.
Accommodation (shared), breakfast and working lunch are included in the £1,550 fee. Instalments are available and the programme is eligible for Help Musicians funding.
We are excited to offer Confetti students an exclusive 10% discount towards the course fees, just use code g3ntile3 at checkout.
Spaces are limited and applications are open now or if you have any questions, contact Tileyard Education.
