Without the work of John and Brenda Romero there wouldn’t be a gaming industry as we know it. We have an unmissable chance to hear directly from them and ask any questions you might have about all things gaming.
Brenda and John Romero are award-winning games industry legends who are game director and studio director on the Empire of Sin franchise.
John is a virtuoso game developer whose work as a programmer, designer and level designer spans over 130 games, 109 of which have been published commercially. And Brenda is a BAFTA award-winning game director, entrepreneur, artist and Fulbright award recipient who has worked on 50 games and contributed to many seminal titles.
Ever wondered how Fantastic Mr Fox came to life? Anthony Farquhar-Smith is here to share his expertise and insights.
Stop-motion director Anthony has worked with the likes of Wes Anderson and Tim Burton on some of the most beloved animation films.
His storytelling and original animation style has led him to directing television commercials and programmes, as well as being the lead animator on Fantastic Mr Fox, and working on Corpse Bride and Isle of Dogs.
Go behind the scenes and learn what it’s like to be an in-demand audio expert – and even learn what a piano sounds like when it’s pushed off a cliff!
Sylvia wrote the rule book and tore it up: never one to look at the picture in an obvious way, she’ll tell us what it’s like to work with Tool, Prince, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rick Rubin. Recently Sylvia mixed Taylor Hawkin’s solo album with the likes of Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh and Roger Taylor as ‘fader fodder’.
We’ll be revealing more details on our brilliant line-up for Industry Week 20201, so stay tuned with us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
In the meantime, why not watch some of last year’s guests being interviewed over on our YouTube channel.
