Degree Showcase 2019 FAQs

Thursday May 2, 2019

Confetti’s Degree Showcase is set to be an event to remember, so make sure you know all there is to know about this memorable night. Check out our FAQs below if you’re not sure what to wear, whether to bring your camera, who you can bring along as your guest or if you have any other queries.

What can I expect?
Expect a fun-filled evening whether you win an award or not. You’ll be able to celebrate your successes so far with your fellow students, experience some live performances, enjoy some complimentary food and drink and meet some special guests.

I and/or my guests have dietary requirements, who should I tell?
Please email showcase@confetti.ac.uk with details of what the requirement(s) are as soon as possible and we will try our best to accommodate on the night.

What shall I wear?
The dress code is smart.

Can I bring more than two guests?
Afraid not. To ensure we can fit everyone in the venue, we can only allow each student two guests for health and safety reasons.

Will there be a photographer?
A photographer will be present throughout the evening so make sure you bring your best smile! We will be posting the photos on our social accounts and website after the event so keep your eyes peeled.

Will my tutors be there?
The tutors always love to be a part of the evening too and will be there to celebrate with you.

Will there be a cloakroom?
Yes, you will be able to hang your coat up when you sign in at reception.

What happens if I can’t attend the ceremony?
If you’re not able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible via showcase@confetti.ac.uk. If you win an award, your tutor will be in touch to let you know and to arrange getting your award to you.

Is the Metronome venue seated or standing?
Seated.

Is Metronome wheelchair accessible?
If you and/or your guests are wheelchair users, you can access Metronome via the main entrance on Huntingdon Street. In the auditorium, where the awards ceremony will be held, the front rows of the auditorium are reserved for guests using wheelchairs. Metronome also has level access, ramps and disability toilets. If you or your guests are wheelchair users, please let us know in your RSVP to showcase@confetti.ac.uk.

Can my guests take photos and videos during the ceremony?
Absolutely, the only thing we ask is that you are mindful of other students and guests who are around you so as to not obscure others’ view of the event.
