We are excited to share the news that Game On! for BBC Children In Need, hosted in our very own Confetti X, has won the Digital Broadcast Award for Best Digital Children’s Content 2024.
The Broadcast Digital Awards celebrate the UK’s very best digital content. Game On! was filmed back in November and was aired on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. It focused on the power of gaming and overcoming challenges in life. The day saw guests, such as content creators Young Filly and Harry Pinero, take part in EA SPORTS™ F1 23 and Just Dance Now.
Confetti students got hands on and gained valuable experience working alongside BBC and TikTok crew members to livestream the event. 50 students from our undergraduate courses (including Content Creation, Film Production, TV Production, Event Production and Esports Production) worked in a number of roles including vision mixers, camera ops, autocue operators and lighting operators. Students also got the opportunity to take part in the production for the HADO arena and F1 23 sim racing.
This is a fantastic achievement and we congratulate all who were involved in the livestreaming of this award-winning production.
