With the first term in full swing, we were invited to Space 2 where our Level 3 TV & Film students have been filming up and coming Notts musician Rob Green.
Influenced by jazz and soul, Rob has taken the music scene by storm – his latest recording, Rob Green EP, achieved top 40 status in the iTunes Album Chart in its first week (and #3 in the iTunes RnB Chart!). Our students were filming versions to accompany the official music video for the single Blue, directing and producing amazing shots throughout the afternoon
We caught up with Shaun Fuller who was the acting producer for the shoot and asked him what it was like to work in the studio with Rob:
“Working with Rob’s great, he’s a lovely guy and cool to work with – being extremely helpful is always a bonus. Sometimes in the studio it can be very structured and tense but It’s been fun and relaxed today, making the environment great for us as the atmosphere is more relaxed – something Rob also seems to enjoy.”
Had a wicked time filming live versions of “Blue” for the @Confetti_ICT students in the new #Space2 – honoured to be invited! #ThankYou 😊🙌💚 pic.twitter.com/NgviNVRiXw

TWO FUN FACTS:
1. The official music video for the single Blue was filmed as one continuous shot and took 43 takes, six hours of shooting and a lot of stamina.
2. Joe Dempsie (Gendry of Game Of Thrones) starred in the official music video, as well as a cameo in Rob’s first video; Cardinal.
