To date, the annual music, arts, and community festival has helped raise over £500,000 for Nottinghamshire charities and communities. After a three-year hiatus, Hockley Hustle is back on Sunday 23 October and bigger than ever! We’re talking 350 artists, 30 venues, and 1 wristband, with all proceeds from the festival to be split across 5 different charities: Emmanuel House, Base 51, SFiCE Foundation, B’Me Cancer Communities and Imara.
Such a large festival across Nottingham, creates countless opportunities for more Confetti students to #DoItForReal. Already plenty of degree students from our BSc (Hons) Event Production, BSc (Hons) Film Production Technology, and BSc (Hons) Television Production Technology courses, have signed up to practice their skills on the job and add to their portfolio.
Meanwhile, our brand-new BA (Hons) Content Creation course will give students the opportunity to work directly with our marketing team at Confetti. Hockley Hustle is just the beginning of an ongoing, working relationship that will provide time sensitive briefs and deadlines.
Across the day, Confetti students from the BA (Hons) Music Performance course, will be performing on a variety of stages. Ellie Stainsby is playing twice on the day, firstly at the Angel Microbrewery at 15:30 and in case you miss her then, she’s on at The Kilpin Beer Café at 9pm!
A couple of bands that recently blessed the Confetti stage at Splendour are also featuring; The Black White head to 31K, playing at 5pm! Whilst Left Hand Lane are on at The Old Bus Depot (Upstairs) at 19:30. Both The Black White and Left Hand Lane featured as part of this year’s Splendour Festival – check out our recent blog to learn more about these bands.
Hockley Hustle is a highlight of each year for Nottingham, and Confetti students are in for an action-packed day, be sure to get your tickets and show your support.
