An update following the Government announcement this week regarding the delay to easing of Covid-lockdown restrictions.

On Monday 14 June, the Prime Minister announced a four-week delay to the final lifting of lockdown restrictions in England. This means we will continue operating under our current levels of Covid restrictions until the final stage in the Government’s lockdown road map is reached on Monday 19 July.

Our campuses remain open to you as per your timetabled activities until the end of the FE academic term on Friday 9 July and to those students undertaking specific projects over the summer as agreed with their tutor.

Moving to home lateral flow testing

As we start heading towards the summer holidays and following changes to government guidelines, the Confetti on-site Covid-19 test centre will be closing on Friday 18 June. Following this date, we will be moving to home testing for all our students.

Home testing kits will be provided starting Monday 14 June to all students coming to the centre and we encourage all our students to continue taking these tests twice a week until the end of term.

In order to receive a home testing kit, students will need to complete two of the Confetti registration cards (name and Confetti number) which will be handed over to you by your course tutor before heading over to the test centre.

If any students are not on site next week (week commencing 14 June) and would like to collect a home testing kit, they can collect a kit from the test centre (using the same entrance as normal) between 8.30am and 10am starting Monday 21 June until Friday 25 June. Or alternatively, they can order a home testing kit direct from the government website: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
