Metronome is hosting a series of exciting online events – Metronome Sessions – starting this March. For any budding DJs, artists, engineers – or anyone who loves a bit of live music – these events are not to be missed!

Following the success of Nottingham Poetry Festival back in November 2020, which was fully virtual for the first time, as well as livestreamed gigs including Unknown Era in December, Metronome has launched Metronome Sessions – an exciting series of virtual events.

And the best bit? They’re totally FREE for all Confetti students! Simply use code STU01 when booking.

Tuesday 2 March
The first will be a live Q&A – courtesy of BBC Radio’s Dean Jackson – with Simon Raymonde (Bella Union/Cocteau Twins). They will discuss his journey through the music business, as an artist and as a record label founder, thoughts on the future of music, and share invaluable advice for the next generation of musical talent.

Monday 8 March
Some of the other events confirmed so far include world-class engineer/producer Marta Salogni (Bjork, Bon Iver, Dream Wife) critiquing mixes in a masterclass. She’ll also be talking about her own processes from engineering through to production and mixing. Ticket holders will be able to submit their mixes for Marta to listen to using her extensive experience working with the cream of alternative music.

Make sure you submit your mixes to John Meredith by Monday 1 March – this is an opportunity not to be missed!

Friday 19 March
Natalie Duncan and Ajay Henry will both be performing sets, live-streamed from Metronome. Duncan is a local singer and songwriter creating blues, soul and R&B music. Henry combines timeless melodic songwriting with a modern production style, and he’ll deliver classic RnB with a modern aesthetic.

You can book free tickets to all online events via the Metronome website – remember to use code STU01.

All ticket holders to Q&A’s and masterclasses will be invited to a private Zoom meeting where they will get a chance to ask questions.

More events are due to be announced, so keep an eye on our website as well as our TwitterFacebook and Instagram accounts to find out about more Metronome Sessions.
