Students studying music technology at Confetti followed in some famous musical footsteps yesterday when they spent the day at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
Level 3 Music Technology Rock and Live students from Confetti had the experience of a lifetime when they took part in a recording session at Abbey Road Studio 2. Studio 2 is where the Beatles recorded their material.
Leading up to the event Confetti held an internal competition to find a student band to record an EP on the day and Hometown Hero were the lucky winners.
The students were given an insight into the recording process by Abbey Road engineer Chris Bolster who explained what happens during a 12-hour session.
As if Abbey Road wasn’t exciting enough, the students were also given a guided tour of the Maida Vale Studios by long-time Confetti supporter, Industry Week guest and Senior Producer of Live Music for BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra Andy Rogers.
