Confetti Congratulates Degree Showcase Winners

Confetti Degree Showcase 2013 finished on a high yesterday as winners of multiple awards were announced at the Showcase Awards Ceremony in the Antenna Bar and Restaurant. The Showcase event started at 3pm at Confetti ICT, where Higher Education students had the chance to showcase their talent and their projects produced throughout the year. The turnout this year was fantastic! Families and friends came to support and enjoy their work as well as other education establishments and industry  eagerly scouting for potential.

The Awards Ceremony followed hot on the heels of Showcase and was attended by the nominees and their families and Showcase Sponsors – Games Company Crytek, DHP Music Group and Spool Films.

The winners in the Games Technology category were; Shaun Blundell for Achievement in Game Concept Design; Josh Mace for Achievement in 3D Design; Tom Dell for Achievement in Level Design; and Victoria Van Garrett for Achievement in Audio for Games. Victoria was also named FdSc Games Technology Student of the Year.

Music Technology awards went to; Thomas Coates for Innovation in Music Technology, Joshua Mills for Achievement in Industry; Thomas Coates for Best Remix; Thomas Stevenson for FdSc Music Technology Student of the Year; and BSc Audio & Recording Technology Student of the Year went to Sean Archibald.

TV & Film awarded; Will J Carman for Achievement in Editing; Adam Wilko for Achievement in Post-Production; Evelyn Butkevicius for Best Documentary; Jordan Dubash for Best Short Drama and Kathryn Brown for FdSc TV & Film Student of the Year.

The final award for Confetti Student of the Year also went to Kathryn Brown for her contribution, initiative and course engagement. Kathryn’s prize is a year’s paid-internship within the Confetti Media Group.
