Your guide to Clearing

We are here to help get students into their desired career paths. With campuses in Nottingham and London, we have spaces available for students on a variety of foundation and full honour degrees in Games, Esports, Music, Events and Media.

Clearing is open from 5 July to 17 October 2023.

We make clearing simple. Whether you’ve only just decided you want to go to university or you’ve changed your mind, here is a guide on what you need to do if you want to submit a late application to join one of our courses.

Are you eligible for Clearing?

You are eligible for Clearing if:

  • You have not received any offers from a university
  • You have declined all of your offers, or not responded in time to your offer
  • You did not meet the required conditions for your offer
  • You have not applied for a university course yet but would like to start a degree in September
  • UCAS received your application after Wednesday 30 June

What can you do to prepare?

You can only go through the Clearing process once you have received your results. To prepare, do some research and make note of any Clearing courses you’re interested in. Take a look at our courses:

A-level results day:

On Thursday 17 August, your results will be available for you to access. Hopefully you receive the results you were expecting but don’t panic if you didn’t, there are so many options available to you.

What you will need:

  • UCAS Hub login details
  • Mobile phone
  • Our Clearing phone number: 0115 848 6000
  • Your UCAS clearing number to hand for any phone calls
  • A pen & paper / laptop

Your UCAS Hub will show ‘You are in Clearing’ (see below) and you will be able to add a Clearing choice on your application from 13:00 (UK time) on results day, through your UCAS Hub: Sign in | UCAS

To secure a place studying with us or find out more about Confetti Clearing, our admissions team will be available to answer any questions and requests on 0115 848 6000.

Once you’ve had permission from us to study your chosen Clearing course, you can add this to your UCAS hub, then follow the next steps on UCAS and wait for confirmation.
