Confetti teams up with Splendour Festival 2015!
Confetti are proud to announce we will once again have a stage at this year’s Splendour Festival following the huge success of last summer’s celebration in Wollaton Park. Confetti students and staff will be among thousands due to attend this year’s Splendour on Saturday 18th July. Our students are preparing to work around the clock to make sure the stages are set for some of the world’s biggest names in music including the likes of The Specials, Bananarama, Jess Glynne, Lawson and Roots Manuva. Concluding an incredible Industry Week at Confetti, Professor Green took students through his music industry career, offering insights into his success and passing on the advice learned through his years as a musician. Stephen Paul Manderson, better known by his stage name Professor Green, is an English rapper and singer-songwriter. He rose to success upon winning the inaugural JumpOff MySpace £50,000 battle rap tournament in July 2008. In the year that followed he worked with Lily Allen on her 2009 concert tour. Kagoule to support Sleaford Mods at Rescue Rooms
Punk-hop ranters Sleaford Mods are hitting up Rescue Rooms in Nottingham next Tuesday (27th Jan) before their appearance at Confetti's Industry Week, and we've just heard that rising stars Kagoule will be supporting them too! That gives the already sold-out crowd the perfect combination of indie rock, grunge and punk hip-hop. Hurrah! Confetti students and staff were among the thousands who attended this weekend's Splendour festival at Wollaton Park. Confetti students weren't just soaking up the atmosphere, they were making the entire festival happen. Our students were working around the clock to make sure stages were set and some of the world's biggest names in music were ready to grace the stage. Kagoule play at Glastonbury!  
Backed by BBC Introducing, Denzien artist Kagoule have been propelled into the spotlight. Along with Confetti student Lawrence English, Cai Burns and Lucy Hatter make up the trio, all aged at just 18. But don’t be fooled by their youth, their sound is mature with a powerful 90s grunge. The Young Creative Awards is now open for all aged 13 to 24 and Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies is proud to be a sponsor of the event. Famous rapper visits Confetti students

As if you didn’t need another reason to come to Confetti, we’ve had world famous rapper Supernatural drop in and surprise our Year 2 Urban and Electronic Production students. Supernatural paid a special visit to Confetti to free-style with our students and pass on his words of advice. MC Supernatural has gained worldwide attention for his incredible free-styling and battle rap skills and he even holds the Guinness World Record for longest free-style rap which lasted over 9 hours! Confetti Music Ambassador nominated for Mercury Prize ’13
Confetti’s music ambassador Jake Bugg has been nominated for the Mercury Prize 2013. Jake will be up against tough competition though as other nominees consist of David Bowie, Rudimental, Arctic Monkeys and Laura Mvula. For the full shortlist, click here.
