Confetti does Splendour 2016
We’re excited to announce that we will once again be a main sponsor of Nottingham’s favourite festival, Splendour! Confetti students are the new ‘voice of the network’
Nottingham City Transport has enlisted the help of our students to become the voices of its new on-board audio announcements. And it was their sense of humour as well as their vocal skills the city’s award-winning bus operator was after... With 75% of the buses across the fleet having on-board announcements – NCT have decided to add a touch of humour to their recordings. Confetti student creates artwork for Fallout 4 release
The much anticipated Fallout 4 video game was released on the 10th of November across the UK. Level 3 Game Art student Rowan Unsworth used her talent and skills to surprise customers at the GAME store midnight launch event in Long Eaton. Knowing her study field, the store manager asked Rowan to help with the art project: 'It is made out of old cardboard boxes stacked on top of each other, which we then spray painted and dry brushed with a metallic paint in order to create a more worn look. Young Creative Awards 2014
The Young Creative Awards is now open for all aged 13 to 24 and Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies is proud to be a sponsor of the event. The awards aim to showcase talent within Nottingham and help further the creative industry careers of young people. Students take on professional roles at GameCity Festival
  October’s GameCity festival saw professionals and fans of gaming jet in from around the world to enjoy talks, workshops and to take part in the latest innovations in gaming technology. The GameCity event is held annually here in Nottingham and, as ever, Confetti students were on hand to assist with the events. Student ambassadors worked with school children to help inspire them and consider a future in gaming by assisting in a series of Minecraft EDU workshops which saw children build their own version of Nottingham. Here at Confetti, our students and alumni are so passionate about their chosen subjects and are eager to spread the word about life at Confetti and all the extra work we do. Recently Confetti alumni Victoria Van Garrett appeared on BBC Radio Nottingham to discuss her role as part of GameCity and why she’s so determined to teach school children about games development. As we gear up for tomorrow’s Confetti Degree Showcase Awards Ceremony we take a look at some of the Games Technology nominees put forward by their tutors for Games Technology Student of the Year. The winners of each course award are also eligible to be crowned overall Confetti Student of the Year. The prize? A year’s paid internship with the Confetti Media Group. Games Technology students get involved in Crytek “Off the Map” Competition
Interactive entertainment company, Crytek recently launched a creative competition for students in association with the British Library and GameCity. “Off the Map” is challenging students from participating universities and colleges to create interactive environments from a selection of British Library maps, using Crytek’s free CryENGINE 3 SDK. The Old Robots, The Sleepwalking Robots, Project Stigma and Team Nameless are the Confetti ICT teams that have been participating in the challenge. Confetti students celebrate win at the Nottingham Young Creative Awards
The Young Creative Awards took place at the Nottingham Playhouse on Monday evening and Confetti students were amongst the winners. The winning entry for the 19-24 bracket for Animation and Digital Media was from Confetti HE Games Technology students, Tom Russell, Barry Martin and Josh Chaplin. All 3 students  are studying a Foundation Degree at Confetti ICT. The Young Creative Awards were launched in 2009 to attract up and coming creative talent in the city and put young people in Nottingham on the creative map.
