Presenting the Confetti Degree Showcase 2023

Each year we invite Confetti HE students, their friends and families to our Degree Showcase, where we display their work and celebrate their achievements. We’re excited to announce that this year’s showcase will take place on Thursday 25 May in our music and events hub, Metronome.

Confetti students, their family, friends, and members of the general public are invited to view an impressive selection of student work in the atrium and bar, followed by the live launch of this year’s Confetti/Denizen single and an awards ceremony. Check out the full schedule for the event below:

  • 4pm – 6pm – From glossy games artwork to immersive game demos and impressive showreels from our Film and TV Production students, check out some of our best work this year
  • 6pm – 6.30pm – Head across to Metronome’s auditorium for the live launch of this year’s Confetti/Denizen single!
  • 6.30pm – 8pm – Join us in celebrating our students hard work this year, with a short awards ceremony. Single of the Year 2023

The Confetti/Denizen Single is the ultimate collaboration between artist, students, and the Confetti team. The project involves several roles and responsibilities that would be expected for any professional release in the music industry, including public relations, budget management, marketing, recording and much more. For students, it is quite simply the perfect opportunity to gain invaluable skills and experience that will give them a head start in the industry.

Each year, our Education colleagues carefully select one BA (Hons) Music Performance artist/band who has shown exceptional talent to represent Confetti via a commercial release. This year’s single ‘Our Days’, is by year 2 BA Music Performance student, Cam Hinge, artist name ‘Cam Mannix’ (pictured). The track’s been produced by London-based producer, Mikko Gordon (Arcade Fire, The Smile, Gaz Coombes), with the support of Year 3 BSc Audio and Music Technology students.

The Degree Showcase will serve as a launch event for the 2023 Confetti/Denizen Single which’ll be live streamed on our Confetti YouTube channel.
