Confetti music alumni return for Industry Week 2019

At Industry Week 2019, students enjoyed talks from some of our great alumni at the Do It For Real events. Some of Confetti’s top music graduates came back and spoke about their industry experiences since leaving, and answered questions about working within the music industry. Learn a bit more about them…

One half of production duo ‘Congi’, Gaz Frost studied a BSc in Audio & Recording Science at Confetti. Gaz is not only a music producer, but also co-manager of record label ‘Chord Marauders’, where his role is focused largely on handling physical distribution with A&R. With a background in DJing, live performance and production, he now teaches music production in Nottingham.

Tom Wood gained an interest in live music in his teens, attending shows at Rock City which piqued his interest in touring crews and the role they play in live music events. He began studying Technical Events at Confetti in 2014, before securing his first technician job in an independent venue in 2015. After this, Tom continued his studies with the Live and Technical Events Degree at Confetti, shortly after which he began working for DHP Family in Stealth and Rescue, before being moved over to Rock City after a year and a half where he now works as a live sound engineer.
