Confetti to host new BBC Children in Need live esports special

We’re excited to announce our involvement in this year’s BBC Children in Need campaign. Set to unite gamers up and down the country, the BBC has commissioned an esports fundraiser which’ll take place at our Nottingham campus!

BBC Children in Need recently launched a brand new activation – Game to Give – set up to encourage gamers, up and down the country, to join forces and help raise money for the charity, all whilst competing to take part in a live BBC TV show. The show will broadcast live on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer from our very own Confetti X venue on Friday 10 November. Featuring celebrities, content creators, influencers, gamers, and members of the public, the epic 2-hour live show will see participants compete in three iconic games.

Alongside the show, BBC Children in Need will also be running The Pudsey Games in partnership with Connect Management, in a 5-hour TikTok livestream where viewers can see all the backstage action. The Pudsey Games will see some of the biggest content creators across the UK, including Luke Vernon, Richard Sales, Formz and Paige Thorne, go head-to-head to claim the ultimate prize – The Golden Pudsey!

Confetti students will support BBC and TikTok crews with the event production and live broadcast, gaining valuable industry insights. This experience will give our students a greater understanding of both traditional and new-age media with the support of leading industry experts.

The show is airing one week ahead of the annual Children in Need telethon on Friday 17 November, so make sure you tune in on Friday 10 November to catch all the fun.
