Her Majesty The Queen – Vice-Chancellor statement

Friday September 9, 2022

On behalf of our parent company, Nottingham Trent University (NTU), we’d like to communicate a statement delivered by NTU President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edward Peck.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

On behalf of the whole NTU community of colleagues and students, I want to express our profound sadness at the passing of Her Majesty The Queen and we extend our deep condolences to her family.

She was a calm and dignified presence for all of us throughout our lives. She stood as a shining example of what dedication to public service means. She brought us together as a nation at times of challenge and pain.

We await further guidance from the Palace and the Government on next steps and we will keep all colleagues and students updated regularly.

In the meantime, our NTU campuses, including Confetti, remain open and activities will continue as planned.

For our college-level students, all timetabled lessons will be rescheduled for a later date and your course leader will be in touch with further information.

For our degree-level students, all induction sessions will be rescheduled for a later date and new timetables will be reissued soon. Our campus and all NTU campuses remain open to support our students with student support.
