Kagoule to support Sleaford Mods at Rescue Rooms

Kagoule

Punk-hop ranters Sleaford Mods are hitting up Rescue Rooms in Nottingham next Tuesday (27th Jan) before their appearance at Confetti’s Industry Week, and we’ve just heard that rising stars Kagoule will be supporting them too! That gives the already sold-out crowd the perfect combination of indie rock, grunge and punk hip-hop. Hurrah!

Confetti’s sister brand Denizen Artists manage the three-piece group from Nottingham and critics are already predicting they are heading for the top. Kagoule appeared on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury last year and have a massive year ahead in 2015 with their debut album due to drop in late August.

Rolling Stone magazine have named the Nineties indie-rock trio in their “10 New Artists You Need to Know” list for January and said Kagoule have an “artfully retro sound”. They’ve already been compared to the Smashing Pumpkins and Fugazi and admit their songs often fall into that style, even if not intentionally.

If you’ve got a ticket already for the sold-out gig then lucky you! If you missed out, keep your eyes peeled for Kagoule in the very near future and catch up on their movement on their Facebook page.

P.S. Don’t forget to catch the Sleaford Mods duo right here at Confetti live in Industry Week this March. Vocalist Jason Williamson and musician Andrew Fearn will be speaking about their experiences in the music industry. We’ve heard they might even tell you what’s going off with them and a certain Mr Noel Gallagher in the press! Keep your Twitter locked on hashtag #IW15 for more.
