Spotlight on Confetti Games Technology Award nominees

As we gear up for tomorrow’s Confetti Degree Showcase Awards Ceremony we take a look at some of the Games Technology nominees put forward by their tutors for Games Technology Student of the Year.

The winners of each course award are also eligible to be crowned overall Confetti Student of the Year. The prize? A year’s paid internship with the Confetti Media Group.

Mature student Shaun Blundell travels to Confetti from Birmingham, such is his commitment to his studies and his future. Shaun is a previous winner of achievement in Level 2 Design and is nominated in four categories this year demonstrating his technical abilities.

Victoria Van Garret is one of those rare creatures – a female gamer! As well as being recognised by her tutors as displaying great skill, Victoria has taken on many extra-curricular activities in her role as a Confetti Student Ambassador including meeting Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Prince Harry.

Rob Laird is a former Level 3 Games Development student and has spent four years improving his skills in game design. He specialises in story design and also represented Confetti during Prince Harry’s visit. Games Development student and has spent four years improving his skills in game design. The Games Technology student of the year award will be presented by Adam Duckett, Lead Designer for Crytek UK who are sponsoring Confetti Showcase Games Awards. Good luck all!
