How did last year turn out?
The Hockley Hustle returned to Nottingham on Sunday when thousands of music enthusiasts danced the night away across 25 venues and the surrounding streets…and there was even a fantastic silent disco!
Many students from Confetti were involved with the festival – filming, performing or stage managing – so we’ve spoken to some of the students who were there about their experience. Our students helped out through a range of jobs, applying the skills they’ve learned from their courses in a professional environment. From sound technicians to camera operators, our students did it all!
One of our students also took on the role as producer and editor of the Hockley Hustle promo film.
What you can expect at Hockley Hustle 2017
At this year’s Hockley Hustle, the venues and streets of Hockley will be full of fantastic music, performers, art, food, plus raising money for charity!
New additions for the this year also include an afternoon of entertainment in the SpiegelTent featuring BBC Young Musician of the Year, Sheku Kanneh – Mason, Nina Smith and the Hackney Colliery Band.
Outside of venues there will be heaps more street entertainment, including an extended Silent Disco curated by the Truth & Lies.
This year’s festival promises to be an amazing event in the heart of Hockley and festival director Tommy is looking forward to working together with our students again:
“We could not do what we do without the support of their students on the day, and in the run up to the festival. Confetti inspire, educate and train their students to industry-standard, instilling professional skillsets required for a successful career in the music industry.”
