confetti supports nottingham

This Christmas, we’re collecting donations from staff and students to help out Nottingham’s homeless community. The number of people who are homeless or sleeping rough has continued to rise with government statistics in 2015 showing that 3,569 people slept rough on any one night across England, more than double the number recorded in 2010.

If you’d like to help out over the festive period, you can give your donations to Student Services, behind Confetti Reception.

All donations will be given to Emmanuel House – a charity that has been supporting the homeless of Nottingham since 1976, and the Salvation Army – a church and charity which is running a campaign to support the homeless during winter.

A variety of goods can be donated; we recommend:

  • Winter clothes
  • Coats, jumpers, socks, shoes etc
  • Deodorant
  • Tampons, sanitary towels etc
  • Kitchen/Toilet paper
  • Tinned food
  • Biscuits
  • Tea / Coffee
  • Sugar
  • Hot chocolate
  • Flour
  • Old sleeping bags
  • Shaving gel
  • Disposable razors

If you’d like to find out more please visit Emmanuel House and Salvation Army. All your donations will be hugely appreciated.
