Clear about Clearing

If you haven’t got the grades you wanted, all of your offers have been rejected or you’ve simply changed your mind and now want to go for university, it’s not the end of the road. You can still apply for a degree course at Confetti.

You are eligible for Clearing if:

  • You have not received any offers from a university
  • You have declined all your offers, or not responded in time to your offer
  • You did not meet the required conditions for your offer
  • You have not applied for a university course yet but would like to start a degree in September 2020
  • UCAS received your application after 30 June 2020

We know it can be stressful, so we’ve created a step by step guide to help keep you calm on the day.

Careers advisors will know the clearing process inside out, they’ll also know you personally so will be able to help you and give you some good advice. We also have a clearing page that has all the information you need to know to help you – check it out.

You can find out what courses are available by getting in touch with us, and you’ll find a course that’s great for you. So do your research and see what suits you best, check our website, give us a call and follow us now on social to be prepared.

Once you’ve decided which course you’d like to study with us, get in touch as soon as possible. You’ll have the chance to ask a few questions about the course so have something ready. You’ll know by the end of the call if you have secured a place or not so be ready to accept or decline. The phone lines will be busy, but don’t give up. You can send us an email at and we’ll make sure someone gets back to you.

Once you’ve accepted an offer you’ll have to log back into UCAS and add it to your application, you can do this in the ‘TRACK’ section. You’ll be given a deadline, so get it done as soon as possible.

That’s all you can do for now, you’ll have to wait for the university to formally accept and then you’ve officially secured your place.

You’ll need to sort your student finance, so log into Student Finance England and create an account or change your details.

We hope this helps, just remember to stay informed and that Confetti are here to help!

Good luck!
