Confetti graduate Miranda Stewart
Confetti alumnus Miranda studied BTEC Level 3 Live and Technical Events at Confetti and now works as a Tour Manager for productions throughout the country – including managing Griff Rhys Jones’ UK tour.

What made you choose Confetti?
I wanted to work within stage management and although I’d had some good work experience, I knew that to be a great SM I needed knowledge of the technical side of events too. Confetti offered the exact course I’d hoped existed, and from the moment I stepped inside for my interview I knew it was the kind of place I wanted to study at.
What are the highlights from your time at Confetti?
Assisting on the main stage of Splendour, stage managing the Confetti stall at the Hemlock Happening and having lessons in Rock City. Also, being completely supported in my mission to make Confetti visibly inclusive and welcoming for women and the LGBTQI+ community. Oh, and the cafés breakfasts of course!
Why Confetti was memorable and important for your future career plans?
Confetti was excellent at supporting my growth personally and professionally. The tutors were committed to creating a supportive learning environment, so I always felt able to ask questions and take my time. The tutors were very creative in making sure we met the course guidelines through access to the best possible experiences, equipment and opportunities rather than solely through classroom-based learning (although I did love the classroom lessons too!) They were also incredibly committed to supporting young women entering a male dominated industry.
