Located just a stone’s throw away from Nottingham Forest, Meadow Lane is home to the world’s oldest professional football club. Currently, in the fourth tier of English football, things are on the up with ex-Premier League player Kevin Nolan in charge.

On the banks of the River Trent, you’ll find the City Ground, home to the two-time European Cup winners. Nowadays you’ll find the club battling in the second tier for a place in the Premier League, and with new owners, a return to the top flight might just be possible.

The National Ice Centre is home to the European champions of ice hockey. The Panthers won the IIHF Continental Cup in 2017 and are regarded as the best supported British team, with regular attendances of over 5,000.

If union is your thing, Nottingham Rugby play in the RFU Championship, and are based at Lady Bay in the popular and lively area of West Bridgford. The Nottingham Outlaws are the city’s leading rugby league side, and compete in the Conference League South.
