If you didn’t get your application in before the 2018 deadline – fear not! You can still apply for many Confetti courses through UCAS, just get in touch with us and we’ll help you through the process.
You now have three options:
1. You can still apply to Confetti
You can still apply to Confetti through the normal UCAS application if you have NOT already made an application but be aware offers are made only if there is space available on the course so it’s good to get in touch with us to check there is a space available before you apply.
2. UCAS Extra:
UCAS Extra runs from Sunday 25 February until Wednesday 4 July for applicants who have already made five initial choices, but have been unsuccessful in all cases or have declined any offers they received. You can also add more options in Track, as long as you originally only applied to one choice and you pay an extra £11.
How it works
If Extra is available to you, it’ll show up as a button when you sign in to track your application. To find courses with Extra availability search or browse for the subject you’re interested in and then click ‘Show courses in Extra’ on the left-hand side of the screen to view a list. Before you add the course get in touch with us to check they can consider you.
Please note you can only apply to one course at a time, meaning you’ll not be able to have an insurance choice.
If we offer you a place, you just need to accept it in Track. Make sure you reply by the date shown in Track.
3. UCAS Clearing:
Clearing runs from 5 July to September and shows the available courses remaining. The best time to look for courses is when A-level results are issued and thousands of spaces are freed up by students not making the grade, or turning down their insurance offers for their preferred choice.
How it works
Clearing generally operates on a first come, first serve basis.
If you aren’t already in the UCAS system, don’t wait until it’s peak time because there’ll be an inevitable delay while you write and submit an application. People already in the system can sneak in and snap up places before you are accepted.
In Clearing you need to complete your UCAS application as normal, including your personal statement, but you can’t add course choices. When you submit your application you receive a welcome email to access the Track service where you’ll find your Clearing Number. You should then search for vacancies and contact us to try to find a place. Once you have a verbal offer you can add the course in Track.
What should I do?
If you are still interested in continuing your studies with Confetti and haven’t completed an application, you can submit as normal through UCAS but it will be submitted as late until Clearing on 30 June. If you’ve used all 5 choices and want to apply to us, you can apply through UCAS Extra from 25 February. If you aren’t eligible for Extra, check our step-by-step guide to Clearing and have a look at the degree courses we offer.
