We know choosing the right degree course can be a difficult decision, so we thought we’d help you out and show you why studying at Confetti is a great choice.
We’re developing our facilities
We’re constantly making sure our students are studying in the best facilities, packed with the latest industry standard equipment. Last year we opened our dedicated Film & TV facility – Space2!
Now we’re going even further:
The new home for Music & Events at Confetti opens October 2017! Our students will have access to brand new professional recording studios and editing suites, rehearsal rooms and a 300 capacity performance space. The hub will give our students the opportunity to develop their skills in brand new, industry standard facilities giving them the head start they need to stand out in industry.
Our new £9.1m Digital Media Hub which opens in September 2018 and will feature state of the art studios, labs and classrooms, a contemporary cafe, Learning Resource Centre and a rooftop terrace. Our expanded Music Hub contains rehearsal rooms, professional recording & editing suites and a live performance space.
Amazing news as Nottingham Trent University have been rated Gold in the Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework. This means that if you choose to study a degree at Confetti, you’ll be part of an institution recognised nationally for its outstanding teaching and learning. Check out the full tables here.
The TEF has been introduced to recognise and reward excellent teaching in order to better inform student choices about what and where to study. NTU is one of just 59 universities, colleges and other providers in the UK to receive the highest gold rating from the 295 that have taken part.
Industry Week 2017
Each year we go off timetable for a week of workshops, lectures and masterclasses, delivered by top names from across Film, TV, Music and Games. As part of this year’s exclusive Industry Week we’ve had workshops with award-winning documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield, a performance from world renowned DJ – DJ Yoda and advice from PlayStation Community Manager Hollie Bennett! This really is a one of a kind event, exclusive to Confetti students!

We’re part of Nottingham Trent University which means you get the best of both worlds, the experience of working in a close-knit creative community and the benefits of being a student at one of the country’s biggest universities. This means you can get social and be part of the events taking place in their 2,400 event space, as well as the numerous bars and cafés. Why not join one of NTU’s 70 societies and sports clubs?
You’ll also be able to live in NTU’s accommodation which comes with some pretty great benefits but best of all, accept us as your firm offer and it’s guaranteed!
During our Degree Showcase we throw open our doors to family, friends and industry leaders to show off our degree students’ work. We really go to town to make it a special event and as day turns to night we bring out the champers for our Degree Awards – check out what we got up to this year.

Be part of a community!
At Confetti you’ll be part of a community full of talented, inspirational creatives. Studying alongside students with the same goals means instant squad! We’ve seen loads of our students start their own businesses with classmates. So not only will you study with friends, work with our tutors on high profile projects but you’ll generally have a great time being part of a creative community.
We also know how to party! Last year we took over Nottingham’s super cool Broad Street for Fresh, our Christmas parties are legendary and DJ Yoda just played our Industry Week after show party, need we say more?
Life in Nottingham
Nottingham is home to some brilliant music venues, cinemas, independent shops and festivals – the city is electric! We take to the streets to party for loads of events including Dot to Dot Festival, Hockley Hustle, Light Night or if one of our local sports teams are playing.
You’ll never be short of things to do in Nottingham and if the parents come to visit you can always take them for a nice day out at Wollaton Hall (Batman’s place)!
Do It For Real
When it comes to industry experience we can put our blogs where our mouth is.
In the last year we’ve been offering students real work experience at some pretty big events. Whether running the Confetti stage at Splendour Festival (working with The Darkness and the Fratellis), crewing Notts TV programmes or performing at Confetti Live, we offer loads of opportunities to Do it For Real – read Hollie’s story.
