Our music and performance students are busy warming up their vocal chords in preparation for the chance to audition for music reality show The Voice.

ITV is beginning its search for contestants for the new series of The Voice with closed auditions for Confetti students only, taking place on Tuesday 3 May.

Pop star Jake Bugg said it a few years ago – “If you want to get on in the music industry you have to get into Confetti.”

Head of Talent Development Alison Whitlock has spoken of the importance of these opportunities for the career development of our students: “It is these kinds of industry opportunities that help set Confetti apart. Our specialism is music, games, TV and Film and we are delighted that our talented students are getting this chance to shine. The more chances students have to do it for real the more employable they become and the more likely they are to achieve success”.

One of our students hoping to have a crack at fame is 17 year old Level 3 Music Performance student Molly Hindley from Aspley in Nottingham.
I am nervous but keen to show what I can do. Even if my Voice journey begins and ends on Tuesday the chance to audition will give me a lot of confidence and valuable experience.

Good luck to everyone taking part! #DoItForReal

Previous Confetti students that have gone on to do it for real include Harleighblu, members of Maximo Park, Kagoule, Field Studies and Shelter Point. If you’re thinking about joining Confetti check out the details of our college & degree courses or come along to one of our open days, It’s not too late to apply for September!
